If anyone here has a pair of the 10X42 binos, have you found a stable, sturdy and quick tripod mount for them? The IP lock prevents the standard method of being able to mount these binos on a tripod. Any suggestions or recommendations appreciated.

Nikon makes a unit they call the Binoc-U-Mount Universal Tripod Adapter. Google that and you'll find it. Costs around $40 or less.

I just had one of the nikon deals delivered a few days ago. Its a little funky, but works fine with both my Victory 10x42 and Steiner Porros, neither of which have an integral way of mounting. I think the thing was $38 bucks. I coudn't stomach the prices of Leica or Zeiss models. Also, the Nikon rig lays flat when not in use, so its pretty packable. Don't forget to order another quick release plate for your tripod as well.
