So my uncle drew an any Elk permit for his unit this year finally and was able to connect on this 5x6 on the Wednesday, the second day of his hunt. He was pretty frickin' excited!
There isn't a more deserving guy then him to have taken this elk. Aside from the obvious, being in a chair since he was 21, he spends more time in the field, scouting, huntin' grouse, target shootin', whatever. You think you got a passion for the outdoors like no other until you talk to or spend some time with him.
He's 53 and been in a chair for 30+ years and this is his first big bull since he took a 5x5 6 months before his accident. Couldn't be happier for him.
He's got some better "field" photos but unfortunately weren't with a digital, so waiting to get a few scanned. These will have to do.....for now.
