Unit 24 Late Archery. Worth packing in?

I have a late archery mule deer tag starting Jan. 2023. I normally like staying mobile in an area I'm new to, but the range north of silver city looks pretty sweet, with not too much access. Assuming HWY 15 is maintained and open year round? Do deer migrate out of these mountains at all, or are they year round residents? I would have no issues packing in if need be. Any info is greatly appreciated. And anyone who is willing to share any info, will of course get the full hunting report afterwards as well.

For better or worse I think late season deer love roads…. So you should learn to love them too. ymmv
