I lucked out and drew an antelope tag for Unit 29. Never been to the area but looks like there is plenty of public land in the area. Average buck according to the IDFG is 11.1". Is there much potential for bigger or should I shoot the first 12" buck I see? Is there large numbers of antelope in this area? Early or late in the season, what is better? I'm open to any advice anyone can provide on this unit. If you have info, send a PM. Thanks.

I had the same tag 2 years back. Go to Gilmore. From Gilmore summit to Nez Perce creek live a herd of a 100 or more goats. There are more than a few nice bucks. Good luck!
