Unit 34 Bucks

We spent some time around Mayhill last week. Really enjoyed the rain, the green pastures, and the wildlife. I've never posted pictures here before, so I thought I'd try this:

I imagine those bucks (which for me would be trophies for Unit 34 public land) will be nowhere in site come November.

that's more deer than I've seen in 2 years of Elk hunting that unit.

I know- and the funny thing is, we hardly saw any elk this trip. I saw 2 nice bulls driving through the reservation from Cloudcroft to Ruidoso.

Lots of turkeys and turkey poults, though.
