Just went out this Saturday scouting for elk. Seen 3 real nice bucks in Copplen canyon off of pine lodge road in the burn area.

you probably dont need an outfitter for this unit. there is plenty of deer. been seeing some good ones this year.

monkey, how did your elk hunt go?

we've been scouting the area south of ancho from wilson ranch south to the jicarilla cemetary. not much luck seeing anything. considering south farther by white oaks or going east by encinoso.
