2 general rules of thumb:
1: a good buck can be killed in nearly any unit in colorado, there's just more of em in some units.
2: for the most part, the more points it takes to draw the better the unit.
Ya some of those tags seem out of reach to a young guy but you'll be surprised how fast time flys. Put one of those tough units as a first choice then a lesser unit as your second and hunt it while building points. If you don't get a good vibe that first season pick a different 2nd choice for next season. The other shot you have is these reissue tags that go on sale every Tuesday starting in August. You'll be surprised at what shows up on the list. If I was in my 20's again I'd look at some of those early season high country tags. They're built for young legs and some don't take a lot of points.
