Does any bony know from last year when the V Caldera emails hit?

Received my notification on the actual day stated, and the winners list was posted later that afternoon on the VC webpage.

I drew 2 years ago and never got an email. I found it on the winners list on their web page.

You can tell if you drew a VC tag if it says "ineligible" in your state elk application results. In the past, the state results were posted before VC posted the official results on their website, so the ineligible note was your first indication. This assumes that your state application was not deemed ineligible as a result of you screwing up.

What are the average bulls and the top end bulls out of the VC. Thanks in advance........BULL!

The quality is not as good as the better NM units, but the quantity is very good. My guess is that the average harvested bull is 300-310", with one or two 340"+ bulls taken a year.

The problem with the Caldera is having the discipline to hold out for a larger elk. On my hunt I felt I did a good job of holding out. I passed just over 30 bulls on my hunt over the first 3.5 days. Most were small with 2 of the scoring in the low 300's. I saw one that scored around 340" but he was in the Valle and I never could get a shot at him once he was in a legal shooting area. The 4th night I killed a 7x7 that scored just under 360".

It was one of the greatest hunting experiences of my life.
