WA Little Naches Bull
Got him on the opener Monday at 11:40, we had a few bulls on the hook right at first light but couldn't get a consistant wind it was very unstable. One came flying in to cow calls ready to commit suicide but sniffed us too and he was gone. Finally in the next drainage and a little later in the morning I was able to get some consistant wind and heard this guy bugleing in his bed from across a big bowl we went up and around the top of him and got within 30 yards. He ran out and my buddie was able to stop him with a cow call and I made a 75 yard off hand shot & double lunged him! he ran about 80 more down the ridge where he stopped and tipped over.
I know you guys are used to seeing bigger but I couldnt pass up this bull with a muzzleloader in a unit with 15 rifle tags. Not to mention it's my first bull that I've killed and I am happy with him. Thanks to my buddies Marcello and Casey for helping me and thanks to my wife for being so understanding the last 10 weekends while I was gone scouting!
