Just one week after killing my biggest muzzleloader buck to date 6 days earlier. I headed out Friday night after work with a Utah general season any bull tag in my pocket. Made it to camp about midnight and had the bull down by 11:00 am Saturday. I was able to find this lone bull and with a friends help calling. I was able to sneak to 50 yards but couldn't get a shot. I then tracked him and again bumped him at 30 yards in thick cover. Then he crossed the canyon and I ran for a clearing and shot him at 305 yards, before he made it to the top.
When I hugged my wife goodbye as I was leaving Friday night, she said: Now you don't be picky, we need the meat, so shoot the first legal bull you see. Looks like we are both happy with this one.
