I killed a bull elk in october last year and had a local taxidermy guy (fairly well known) do a simple antler mount. I was told it would be done in February or March at the latest.
It is now August and while I understand that taxidermy shops are notorious for being slow/ late I would like to have it back. To add to it, I may be moving to California at the end of this month for a job and won't be close by anymore to pick it up.
Should I call and say "Can you get it done in the next two weeks?" or just tell him to give me what he has done (if anything) and I'll pay him for the work that has been done (which really can't be much, with an antler mount it is either done or not basically)?
