Bohntr didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.... Just stating something that I think a lot of people miss when looking at deer and guessing what they will end up at. This is the way I look at it, (and I might be wrong, but over the last say 8 years I have a lot of data to back this up) As a general rule all deer start growing at about the same time. They all seem to grow at about the same rate of inches per day. At about mid to late July it seems that all the smaller (170" and lower) seem to be done, while the bigger bucks can really put on the inches that last few weeks.
All that being said, I would be very surprised to learn that this deer was even filmed this year. Not saying it is not possible, but it just seems very early for a deer to be "done" growing this early.
The two big reasons I think he is very close to being done are...
1. His left G-2 split so high... not many deer are going to grow much after that high of a split. For sure not on that size frame.
2. As I said above the antlers just don't look like they have a lot of blood pumping through them to me.
If you would let us know what you think he scores from this short clip. I think I am a little hi on my guess, but would like to know what you think.
