If I apply for a Wyoming deer tag as a nonresident and am unsuccessful does it cost the same as just buying a point later? Or do I end up paying more by actually applying rather than just buying a point? Thanks

You loose your app fee. $15 I think. They refund tag fee. Put in for a point later after July 1.

You also lose the magical 3% credit card fee even if you use a debit card. The 3% adds up big time when you are talking about sheep and moose and the special elk tag.

That is Correct, but 3% on $150 is a lot less than 3% on $2,000! Is it worth the $50 or $60 to enter the random draw or is it better to put that money towards a raffle?

The 3% fee makes those random draw odds look even worse. I choose to apply because I really want to hunt!
