LAST EDITED ON Jul-07-06 AT 01:50PM (MST)[p]Prepared to see thousands upon thousands of people and not many deer. There once was a day when this area was about as good as any out there, and it has always been a general tag for a resident, but those days are long behind us. I personally hunted that area for many years taking some good deer but you couldn't pay me enough money to go back there again. It doesn't matter if you are early, late, or somewhere in the middle that place will be swarming with every guy and his dog trying to chase mule deer. One thing you have going for you is 98% of them won't get out of there vehicle and off the roads.
Someday Wyoming will grow a brain and close that area off as a general over the counter tag and make it a limited quota area, once they do you are going to see some monster muleys taken from that area. I can't wait for the day so that I can once again go back home and chase some area 82 deer.
iashedhead, I don't mean to sound sarcastic but unfortunately for a guy that grew up hunting area 82 and having some darn good luck I can't help but think of that area and remember what it use to be.
If you would like I could point you in general direction of a few promising places to check out.
