Tucker,
I live in Rawlins and would be happy to help you. First, contact the local BLM Office here in Rawlins and order all the local maps. Much of area 87 is BLM land, but some is also "checkerboard" and you really need to know where you are or the ranchers will bust you. The local BLM Office can be reached at 307-328-4200. A good place to start your search for nice muleys is north of Seminoe Reservoir and the Ferris Mountain Area. This area is very rugged and holds some really nice deer. Not many roads so come prepared to do some hiking and pack one out on your back if you get one down. There is a game and fish habitat area between Seminoe and Pathfinder Reservoir, but I think that gets hit pretty hard. The Walk'In hunting areas have not come out yet for this year, but when the do, check out to see if their are any areas in this unit open. These are private lands the game and fish lease for public hunting opportunities an some can hold nice deer. There is not alot of water of the west side of this unit, so if you hunt that area, hunting around water holes would be a good idea, but the larger bucks are only going to visit at night. Let me know if you have any other questions.
