LAST EDITED ON Sep-19-05 AT 10:45PM (MST)[p] This was the buck that I was lucky enough to find on opening day in the interior of BC. He was taken at about the 5000 ft mark just below a stretch of timber that let to the alpine. I first seen him feeding his way towards the timber and was able to get about 100 yards closer before I ran out of cover and time, I found a good solid rest and with 1 shot from 350 yards through the lungs he went about 50 yards downhill and that was it. He is 28 inches wide and the taxidermist I use put a quick tape on him when I was there. He came up with a tally of 194 1/2 net non-typical. His mainframe gross score was roughly 188 with about 5 inches of mainframe deductions, but those extra points on each side really kicked the crap out of his typical score.
He is my best buck to date and I couldn't be any happier with him. A big thanks to Steve for posting the pic's for me. Well back to revisiting all the spots I have found in past years to see if I can't come up with another big one this year. probably not but a guy has to dream eh....lol.
This picture was taken when i got back to town as I had forgotten the camera for second year in a row.
