I just bought a landowners tag for unit 421. I am only allowed to hunt the public land. It is for Nov 15-19th. Does anyone have any information or tips. Thanks for the comments. If anyone has hunted this unit or knows anyone with information please let me know.

Thanks,

NBJB,

My buddy and me also have this tag. We've done all of the research that we can do. Craig went there this summer and checked out access points. We've talked to the biologist, an outfitter, and a landowner. Info seems to be hard to come by. We are going to get there a few days early and try to figure out where the deer are. I'll send you an Email with my # and you can give me a call.

You guys should have no problem filling those tags. That season is very late for this area and the bucks will be rutting real hard. Hold out for a good one, if in the right spots, you should be seeing 100-150+ deer a day to pick through. You guys got any vouchers? I would love to show ya what I know, I live in unit 421....

Good luck!

JJ and NBJB,
Hey, could I get you guys to send me an Email with your phone numbers. I tried to Email you guys through MM, but my messages couldn't be delivered? Thanks

Colorado vouchers, by law, are supposed to carry private land access. Please call Brett Ackerman at the CDOW 303-297-1192 and report that you did not get access with your voucher, especially, if you were asked to sign a waiver. The landowner should be kicked out of the program.

There is an commission issue paper on the web about voucher rules, and the intent is to stop brokering. I hope it works. Better yet, I hope vouchers become private land only, and the market collapses.
