im heading to mt the last week of the season .im thinking about finding an area around the cm russell but not on the refuge as it will be closed . the area between mosby and the cmr has allot of blm land , anyone know about the deer population there? any other ideas? how much pressure from other hunters should i expect in montana that time of year? thanks, Larry

Hi Larry,

I have hunted the area, and there is quite a few of deer around there. The last week of the season is a good week to go, the bucks are chasing and anything can happen. There is some big block management areas you might want to check out also.
I would not expect a whole lot of hunting pressure besides the road hunters driving around if that.
