with 3 days left we still have only seen 1 shooter. My son has passed up about 70 bucks. Hoping for the big boys to show up,he decided to pass on a 160 class 3 point at 300 yds. bedded. The buck had 22 inch G2. and at 24 inches wide. We still have some time left. We have yet to see or hear of a good one harvested yet. Ky is 17 and is going to miss a day of school on friday. I was up today and saw a few bucks but no toads. We will be out there half day tomorrow and last 2 days. We have had a great season together already. I got a 160 buck on the WA. opener and we got 2 four points in IDAHO, his buck was a really nice deer. Hope we have some pics for the site soon.

Good luck on the hunt. I drew it last year and shot one the first day. Should have waited but it was still a 160 class buck. I know there are a lot bigger bucks in there. How big are most of the bucks you have been seeing? Hunt the faces and draws heading down to the Entiat off of Tyee and stay in less than a foot of snow.
Post some pics of your opening day buck and your Idaho bucks.

Thats exactly where we have been hunting. We have spent 10 days up there with 3 more to go. All the bucks have been spikes to 20 inch 4 points . Nothing over 135 except for the one he decided not to shoot. I really think that deer was a local buck. We may try to find him saturday if we need to. There is about 2 feet of snow at the end pavement.

Good luck, just got back from up there. Saw 8 bucks in a couple hours. Saw a monster 2 point. and a couple decent 4 points. I think we would all like to see these bucks you guys got. Especially the WA opener buck. Dont be shy.

I chained up the front tues. But the roads are pretty good. After today it may be hard to get up really high.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-15-06 AT 07:45PM (MST)[p]thanks, sounds like it should be pretty good with all the snow and such. Good luck on the buck I hear the biggins just started to move.

It was raining really hard when i left up there, but i am sure tonight we will get some snow up high. The roads were good, for the 3rd week of november you couldnt ask for anyhting better. and 300wby where are you pics at man.???

I was across the river for three days with my buddy and we were seeing a lot of the same thing.Probably all locals but they were rutting heavy. He had to go home so he took a 22" 3x4 yesterday.Biggest one we saw was 25" 3x4 but he passed hoping we would find better. We had a great time. What does it take for the big guys to show???? we did see one 5x6 that would go 180+ taken on Sunday but that was the biggest,it was taken in a foot of snow on top of Mud.... also heard of a big one taken in Slide Ridge......

you'll run into something, with the weather thats going through, its just a matter of time before one of the big ones makes a mistake. if ya want an extra set of eyes up there, let me know, i have friday off and dont work till late on saturday.
