yep thats my friend luke. i think he said 206 gross 201 net. cant remember for sure though. maybe he said 211 gross 206 net?

great buck. And a PUBLIC LAND buck to boot!! It makes that trophy so much better because everyone had a chance at him. You got the job done with all the other hunters out there with you. Good job kid.
 
Great buck, a definite big-timer. And he appears to be a young deer. Great tine length. I'll bet we hear or read the story somewhere in the future.
 
Holy balls :eek: ! Damn nice deer man, 200" net typicals are ultra rare, that's a great accomplishment. Congrats.

I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.
 
Probably the best looking typical to come out of Utah this year.

Major congrats to the lucky hunter.

I thought all of the deer out there were genetic missfits???:)

Thats what ive been hearing from everybody but i dont know why. last year there were big bucks running all over the place. well not all over but there was quite a few. I havent been out there this year though so i wouldnt know how it is this year

LOL Prism! Plenty of crabby-claws-on-the-one-side genes running around out there. And willowy 3 points or 3x2's, too.
 
Last year sucked yotehunter, the worst antler growth I have seen out there in a few years. This year is looking a little better, but plenty of big and old 2 points and crab-clawed 4 points. This buck posted above was a pig though. Just when I thought I wanted a big non-typical, this buck changed my mind.
 
I have some video of a buck that looked like him last nov. It was a 4x5 like this but I figured him to be around 195. He is a awsome buck. Now if I could just draw the damn tag. :)

Now thats a 200" deer. You and that fella with the supposed """"212 gross"""" need to get to gether so you can show him what a real 200" deer looks like, heck maybe even borrow that magic tape of his and your deer would be pushin 4 bills!

and i told you. i cant remember the score he said but im pretty sure it was 206 gross 201 net. but i put that other score on there just incase that was the right score

I was standing right next to Luke when he shot that buck.He almost passed it!I was ready if he did!His brother Jake was involved in that hunt,though,not dad.They are a couple of great people,and Luke was absolutely thrilled when he walked up on this buck.I still don't know if he really realizes the quality of animal he took.I was the one who measured the buck-twice.Trust me,he goes 206 gross,and should easily net book.I met these guys 2 days prior-never knew them before.That's one of the best parts of hunting-the people you meet.I was down there hunting by myself from Wyomong,and met these couple of fine young men,as well as a couple other great guys.I now have 4 new friends.Jake,if you are reading this,the offer still goes for videoing winter range monsters in Wyo!

Wow, what is it with all these young bucks(kids) taking these great deer. I hunted for many years before ever conecting on a buck that that. Congrats to the hunter. Hell of a buck.
 
Whacked a 171 3x4,27"er on the 2nd to last evening of the hunt,Ichabod.Thought I'd help out with the gene pool by taking a management buck out of the pool since I couldn't find Mr.Big.It was an awesome hunt;hope I can make it there again sometime,but at my age,that's unlikely!

Now that the kind of Buck the Book's was suppose to have running all over it and not those crab forks bucks, That's a great buck.
 
That buck was just over 28" wide.Youngster-I'm guessing 3-4 years of age(probably 4).We'll find out when G&F returns the tooth sample results.
 
congrats on that monster manny. that is a dandy buck. I hunted the crap out the books last year and never got close to one that nice. where you hunting the roadless at all?
 
I have a friend who filmed this buck while scouting for his hunt. He would like to talk with this Luke feller. Anyone know how to reach him?
