has anyone ever had any tried or had any luck with grunt calls, doe or fawn bleats, or rattling desert mule deer or mule deer period?

NOt sure about MD but a friend has killed several whitetail grunting about this time of year.
I saw a whitetail buck chasing a doe the other day pretty intensely.

WE use rattling grunting and fawn in distress calls to bring in Mule Deer up here. People always say you can't rattle or grunt in mule deer but it works up here every year. The fawn in distress call works good for bringing in does, but not so much bucks. If you are hunting the rut though when you bring in the does with the distress call if there is a buck with her he will follow her in. If we are trying to photograph a buck and can't seem to get any closer and he is with a doe we will try the fawn in distress to bring her to us. He will surely follow. I was almost stampeded by a herd of about 10 does and fawns a couple days ago while trying to call coyotes with a fawn in distress call. They come in pretty pissed. I have found mule deer does to respond betrer to the distress than the whitetails.
