Hi, i am going to be hunting in the Northern Utah area, any help would be very much appreciated. I get to hunt a week before the actual hunt starts because I had a stroke a year ago, limiting my ability to hike very far or in rugged areas. Easy access is essential for me. Do you have any suggestions of hunting sites that fit this description? Any hunting experience in this area would be helpful, as I have never drawn out for it before. THANKS

Any area that has good Bucks and easy access is going to be private land. I hunt it quite often and all the good bucks that time of year are a long ways from the roads. I suppose it also depends on what exactly you are looking for, you can find smaller 4 pt bucks down low if you look hard.....

The guy needs easy access, that is a "Walk in only" area.

I would suggest going up to the Raft River mountains near yost. The roads are a little rough but at least you can spot a lot of deer from the roads and that would make the hunt a easier for ya. If you are looking for a nice buck, then I coudn't tell ya where to go.

BTW everybody,
Some guy got caught poaching on thw Middle fork WMA the other day. He claims he hit a 40 inch 5X4 with a dropper with his bow. Told the whole story to a fish cop, and when the fish cop asked for his license, he told him that he didn't bother buying one cause they sold out too fast. Guess when they sell out as fast as they did this year, you don't have to buy one. Idiot!

I call the "40 incher" BS, but they did end up finding his bloody arrow and a trail, but no buck. The best part is that he shot it from the parking area!!!
