I checked my trail cams yesterday and was surprise to get these pictures of a great buck. Anyone care to make a guess on what he will score?

Mass is the last thing you should look at in judging a buck. That buck has no major weakness. Great inside spread, great main beams the tines are solid. The buck would gross as close to 190 as you can get. there is no way he would only go in the 170s.

Cool buck!

Well, hopefully I will be picking up those horns off of a snow bank in a week or so then I'll let you know what the true score is .Stay tuned!

Whaletail- That is an awesome typical. Good luck on the sheds. I'm wondering what you did to get the buck to step in front of the camera.

If you look close in the left side of the picture you'll see a red rock. It's actualy a chunk of mineral block.

Thanks Whaletail- have you had a lot of success with muleys on mineral licks?

He sure looks like a high 180 class buck, he gots alot of good stuff, hope he puts on some mass next year.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

180, I don't think he is as willow horned as you guys are making him out to be. Look at the first pic again. Great buck anyway................

Nice buck. I think 179 gross. A little light on the circumference measurements. Looks to be very symetrical. Get those sheds.

Yes ,I get a lot of pictures of all kinds of wild life over mineral licks,Even bears.

You should have put a 1 lb of PE or C4 in front of the rock,
a pressure pad underneath.

Det-cord it to 2 claymores, on both sides.

Booom!

Bob's your uncle!

That would make him a widow-maker...

>Sweet buck! What kind of Trail
>Camera are you using?

This camera is a BMC Scout Guard.I also use cuddeback Expert cameras.

Better yet!

Mix gas and laundry detergent, add a little salt, fill half of 55-gallon barrel.
Use a No. 2 Match or Fusehead Electric Cap on the Claymore underneath, with a Thermite on top of the barrel.

The deer hits the pressure pad and "Vrooom"!

Grilled venison, to a crisp!

What's Bob's score now?

I would guess if you find the sheds they will score around 76 or 77 inches each which should make this a high 170's type buck. He has relatively short G2's and would be lucky to have over 32 inches of mass. Still a real solid buck and will probably make the mid 180's or better next year.

Easily 180", even with deductions. I see at least 6" or more of deductions, but no way I'd pass him up... That is a beautiful set of head gear!
