Well I was going to hold out a bit before posting my muzzle loader buck but saw that my picture is already floating out in monster muley land.

Not only was I able to harvest this great buck, I also had the hunt of a lifetime with friends and family. Thanks again guys!

Keep rockin the deer gut, brotha!

Not too good with stories but ill give er a shot.

Hunted hard for 5 days (2 days were scouting prior to hunt. Hiked Hiked Hiked and glassed glassed glassed. We saw a lot of good bucks and got on a few but never took a shot until this one.

On Friday we decided we needed to hunt all day and were working some cedar pockets and jumped up a few goods bucks. My dad went in to do a push while my buddy and I waited. Anyway, the deer we wanted to push took off one direction then did a 180 and went another direction. We ran about a half mile to cut them off but never saw those bucks again.

So, we took off walking through the cedars and jumped up some does and a few small bucks. That's when the hunting started because once all the small bucks leave the big boys are still hangin around, right buddy?

When we were about to turn and start heading back to where we begin we came up over a small knoll and there stood this buck 200 yards away in the shadow of a cedar tree. It took me three times to find the damn thing in my scope (can't see too much at 200 yards in a 1x scope, especially looking into shadows)Finally, after some good advice, I lined up on his face which was about all i could distinguish and held to the left just a bit and let the hammer down and the buck dropped and we started hootin and hollarin.

Have to thank everyone who helped (if you read it you know who you are!!!) and of course a special shout out to the Deer gut which led us to this buck!
