I have some knowledge of the unit during the archery season and during the late season as well. what im asking for is do you guys think a lot of the big bucks found way low during the late hunt are resident deer and don't migrate? we found some huge bucks last year and I got the early tag, nr 3 points. I have no time to scout due to helping a fellow mm member on a elk hunt and work obligations. so im really wondering about a specific buck we found last year during the late hunt. and don't want to waste half my hunt leaking in the wind. I appreciate any info I can get.

My guess is that buck will be at a higher elevation, depending on the weather. An early snow MIGHT send him lower, though perhaps into a transitional zone and not all the way to the winter range.
