Well since my pics are out there floating around (Thanks to SWbuckmaster), may as well add a few more from my hunt. I was able to hunt the Book Cliffs this year, with some good friends, and was lucky enough to be graced by the presence of SWbuckmaster. All joking aside, it was a great hunt with great company. The first few days we didn't really see anything we wanted to go after, we saw a ton of deer, but not any monsters. Friday night and again Saturday night we spotted one that was fairly wide, but with weak back forks. I was tempted, but withheld. Sunday night Dad and I took off to check a new area, with no luck, and on the way back got lucky. I never have truly experienced buck fever until that day. But it ended good, and it's the biggest I have got. I am more than happy with it, it's a true trophy for me and having my dad with me the whole time made it that much better.

The last one is my nephew. He wants to grow up and hunt elk like Grandpa. (Dad got a nice bull on the Dutton last year)

*Damn you Scott!

highcountry, that's a beautiful buck. I like everything about him. Width, height, forks, mass. Beautiful cape too....Hope you're planning on a mount, that cape would look great!

Awesome buck, that is way above the average buck taken out there, you should be proud of him.

How wide is he looks about 26 to me?

How many points did you have?

I spend alot of time out there every year, and that is one to be proud of, now if I could just draw the tag.

that is a nice looking buck.
can you imagine the book cliff bucks if the udwr would manage so the age class was 2-3 years older than what it is right now?
i hope i didn't just confuse sw?

Great buck!

Brings back memories of those Bookcliffs bucks from the "Good ole' days" that my parents and grandparents used to brag about. According to them, they wouldn't have even kept the antler's around for one like this - though when we were growing up, would have desperately liked to have put one on the wall!! LOL Love the mass - good solid buck. Congrats.

Job well done by you and your dad. Congrats again on a great buck and a great experience. That is a solid, mature Book Cliffs buck with a great shape to his antlers!

Curtis did go through his ups and downs while hunting in the books this year. Maybe he needs some medication for all his mood swings. lol

All kidding aside he ended up killing the best buck in camp and I couldn't be happier for him. I wish I could have the opportunity to hunt with my dad some day like he did.

Mike will also do an awesome job on your deer.

by the way what did that buck gross score. I just want to see how close I thought it was?

Archery is a year round commitment!!

Still don't know. Jerry wants me to to do it too. Finding a free night to sit down and do it is the problem. I wasn't going to do it, but since you really want to know, I guess I will. I will let you know when we do.
