Step 1: Draw a strip tag

Step 2: Join Monster Muleys a month or two before the hunt

Step 3: First post on website, ask for help.

You can always count on a few every year. You could at least have thrown out a "I've been lurking for a while and finally joined, love the site" !!

13B is a very large unit. If you don't know where the deer are then you'd better find somebody that does. I drew an archery tag and thought about doing it myself as well. I talked to several people that had hunted the unit in the past. They all said the same thing, get somebody that knows the unit. I called several outfitters and I eventually booked with Brec Bundy and MDA Outfitters. They guided me to a 222" monster which I took down on the 6th day of the hunt. You can definitely diy but your chances of a trophy success just aren't very good. Good Luck.

I helped my buddy on his DIY rifle hunt there last year. It is tough but can be done. You need time and patience. You have good dates this year and that should help. Feel free to PM me and I will share what I learned. I am jealous since I have max points and am itching to go back.

I would go in debt and get the guide because this could be a once in your lifetime tag. DIY would be a hard way to finish off this tag that took so long to draw.IMO
