I drew the any weapon permit and was curious if anyone would have any information on areas to look when scouting season starts. I know things will change when the other hunts get going, just curious if anyone knows areas that have had good sized bucks in the past. Any help would be great! Thank you!

Helped a friend on this hunt last year, and it was tough! The bucks were all down low...way low. We started hunting up on the mountain, and ended up in the low country by the end of the hunt. She did not tag out, as she cold not find a buck that fit the bill.

If we would have started down low, we would have probably done better.

congrats on drawing that tag, my dad and I both drew that tag last year and tagged out. not as good in years past but I still think you have a great chance in tagging out. many young bucks from last year that should be decent this year

Hey Farkus- I'll be working in Blanding in late July and hope to make it into the unit and get some video of some velvet bucks... When I do, I'll be posting it. I hope I see some good ones.

That would be awesome I will be watching for your videos. I can't wait to get scouting and see what I can find and get an idea of whats on the unit for size.
