I was up in the Fishlake area this last weekend to go scouting for our upcoming deer hunt and elk hunt. I was thinking that is was early and that we would not probably see too many people. Boy was I wrong it looked like opening day up there. There were of course the LE elk archery hunters up there but I was surprised by amount of camps already set up and the overall amount of people on the mountain.
We did see a great buck at 10,600 feet that was a 4x4 typical with a 27" to 28" rack but had some weak back forks but a shooter just the same.
I was wondering is anyone else it seeing the numbers I am talking about in their areas or is it just Fishlake area.
