A few years back, the smarties at the IDFG department, opened up our unit that we hunt, for cow elk for five days. It was hiddous the, worst thing they could have ever done. So we have a pretty big hunting group that puts in every year. Anywhere from 12-20 guys, so all of us had bought tags for that hunt. We ended up getting 18 cows that opening morning. Needless to say, our work was cut out for the next day and a half. We thought, that everyone in that Valley was gonna kill elk that year, they were everywhere. But we only seen 4 other elk killed, out of about 40 camps. But anyways, it was an awesome experience, and made for some great pictures, but the weather was like is now. So we had to fly skinning them out, and getting them back to a freezer. This will be the eleventh year we have hunted this area, and if we kill our six cows that we have drawn for this year, it will give us just over 100 elk killed in that area. We've taken 10 bulls and 86 cows there. But I was just wondering if anyone else has had a hunt like that??
