any 400 class bulls taken so far

Shed have you seen the pix in this forum from NM 15. I bet he'll gross close to 400.

I know of a 403 taken opening day. Pics were sent to me but, I cant open them for some reason.

I heard of a bull in nm unit 2, gross 406. I saw one that would have gone that but could not close the deal. Biggest bull I have ever seen, That will be a memory that I will never forget.

FEAR NOT FOR I AM WITH YOU! Walk soft and carry a 300 RUM,

I heard that Todd Black and company got a bull around 400 down around Monticello area. It was one of those bull pictured awhile back on this forum. A real super bull.

Rumor has it that a 412 bull was taken off the cache opening day this year as soon as i find out more i will post it hopefully with a pic.

No 400 bulls to my knowledge but I personally know of at least 4 bulls in the 380 class taken on UT LE Hunts.

Allen, Tony and I had a great hunt. We did see a bull that I believe will go over 400. Get with me I want to see if anyone has a tag in that unit for a later hunt. Know where he is hangin and he is a bruiser, wicked whales tail.

Gator,
There have been a few that have grossed over 390 here in SE Utah. I heard the one that the Black boys lucked onto was not the big one pictured here earlier. He is supposedly still at large. Also, rumor has it that a bull was taken out toward eastland on Saturday that went well over 400.

Man that SE area sure does have it share of huge bulls, If Todd and Travis didn't get that big one I wonder who will, I saw a few last year that was just huge, they look like they got a tad bigger this year. The one out in eastland was it taken north of Crowleys Place, saw a really nice one in that area last year.

Mr. Ekker

Most of the locals including several who had seen the bull multiple times said it was the big typical.

Not sure how one lucks into a 400 bulls I guess its luck with everyone though isn't it. I guess hunting for 6 days passing up multiple 350-360 class bulls is just luck. I guess calling in a bull from 598 yards to 50 yards is just luck isn't it?

Not sure what story you heard but I guess it was just luck.

Gator--the bull 400+ non-typical that was killed east of monticello was on Sue Hallidays place just north of the highway.

I've seen pics on another Forum (AZOD) of a NM bull that gross scores 427.

Todd,

Maybe "lucked onto" was a poor choice of words. My intent was not to ruffle any feathers. I am sure that you guys put a lot of time into locating good bulls. I myself think that lucking into a tag is much more difficult than finding a 360 class bull on the San Juan unit.

As far as the story, I heard that Jeff asked you to take out a hunter and you were fortunate enough to drive up to Gordon's and shoot an incredible bull.

I have not ever seen the big typical other than photo's and video. I had heard that the one killed was not the big one. I thought that if in fact they were not the same bull that the big one certainly would be a huge bull. However, it sounds like it was infact the big typical and from what I heard he was around 393 and not 400+ like so many people judged him to be. Is this correct?
