Your buddy has his work cut out for him. I had the November Unit 22 archery tag about six years ago and it is tough to say the least. I hunted four days in what is now called 22S and I never saw a single elk. I saw some tracks in the area east of the casino but again no elk. Finally I moved to the N/E part of 22 and was into elk for the next seven days, but I still didn't score. No rut, lots of water with no reason to go to any particular tank,=difficult hunt. The things they are doing now, they won't be doing during that hunt. My hat's off to the guys who can consistently kill those elk during that hunt because it's very difficult.
