Utah Success and Rut?

What is happening in Utah fellars? The reports I am hearing the bulls are give a whistle or two, but not much. Anyone killing bulls with sticks yet? I have heard of a few, but not many.

Hopefully the rut kicks off soon.

Your gonna start seeing and hearing of more of em hit the ground now. We finally got some weather coming through cooling things down a bit and some good rain. And most of all now that LAbor Day is past that eliminates one hell of alot of people in the hills.. So I would say that things are going to start getting fun with the big bulls now..

They were on fire this morning! Can't wait for this weekend, it's gonna be a good one-I bet.

Quite a few bugles in my area, but mostly when they bed or stand up, not a great deal of activity.
The 3 biggest bulls I saw however were all very worried about their 5-10 cows...so I think we are on the verge...at least I am praying we are!

Haven't heard much more than the occasional growl but they should start up soon. I took a spike opening weekend and noticed with how hot it was the even the cows would sneak in and weren't very vocal yet. My buddy has a LE tag on the Manti and we're hoping things start up soon.

Heard a lot of bulls last weekend. I was very surprised...didn't expect to see this active this early. Even had a few screaming well after sun up and some pushing cows. 10 more days for me.

Last year I never heard a peep in 4 days. I hope my wife gets to experience the hunt with the bulls screaming!

10 more days for my wife, but only 5 more for the guide.

I was up on the mountain last night and they were going nuts. I got a report this morning that it never slowed down until about 10:00 am this morning, and with the front moving in, things should really start popping!
Hey Ty, I think your wife will get to hear some bugling bulls!!
And Kill a big stinky bull too!!

I have been out the last two weekends and they really came alive this past weekend even with all the Labor day people. I was pretty surprised about it. Sun morning they didn't quit screamin' til almost 11:00 am. Pretty good stuff. For the most part all the good bulls had plenty of cows with em'.

I've been on the mountain for the past 5 days, the bulls are starting to heat up a bit, but for me, the real BIG bulls are not quite into it yet. Saw a dandy last night and he didn't have any cows and was not bugle'n (yet).
Can't wait for this weekend thru the next week, Things should be awsome, Hope I can kill a dandy, I'll post if I do!

I was up again last night and things are heating up. Seen two herds of 15-20 cows and bulls pushing them around, and chasing off smaller bulls. The big boys are still not in the herds, but hanging out close getting rested for the big push when it comes!! There are smaller bulls coming out of the woodwork..
It looks like Saturday is going to be a good day, tater!!!
