Huge Bulls (part 2)

LAST EDITED ON Sep-18-06 AT 06:23PM (MST)[p]Well, we had a heck-of-time!!!!!!! Weather was awesome (for the rutt) and the bulls finally cooperated! This weekend was one of those that you live for! Thanks to Rod, we found elk in places that I'm sure few people have ever been!

Here's a couple of shots of some amazing animals, and a few of HoofandHorns doing what he loves!

How many elk are still back in the timber it looks like two more behind the second bull

in that particular shot there are two cows coming out. however, just to the right, is at least three more bulls, not pictured. We were set up just right as the bulls and about 15 cows all were weaving in and out of the bush. at one point a cow came out and stood right out in front of us for about 15 minutes. We were hoping that she would draw the big bulls in to her, but for some reason they never came to gather her up, they stayed close to the trees. One more thing, those two bulls got into it but they were just on the edge of the tree line and out of range for my 400mm zoom.
