NR jr? youth? deer hunt

LAST EDITED ON May-13-19 AT 11:09PM (MST)[p]Looks like jr and youth are slightly different? I'm interest in increasing the odds for my son to hunt this season for deer or antelope. Do they have different prices? Do the over the counter D units have youth or jr tags? Am I wrong, apprentice is the term used for youth hunts?

Yes apprentice is youth in California, for the D zones there is not a separate allocation for apprentice hunts. The only specific apprentice hunts are the J zones.

Ok thanks for clearing that up. So I see there are J hunts in x7a x7b for example, does a NR jr pay the regular NR deer tag price or is there a different price for jr.
