I don't know if it has been posted anywhere on these boards yet but I figured I'd throw it up here since I had the question. I drew a couple of archery tags during the main draw, of which I will only be able to hunt one of them. I got a hold of NDOW and figured out the process for returning my antelope tag and it goes as follows.
-Since by now we all have likely been billed for the tag, you'll need to wait til you receive the tag in the mail.
-Return the tag to the address on the envelope with a note indicating why are you not able to hunt that tag.
-If you are unable to hunt the tag for medical reasons, military reasons or a death in the family, your tag fee and bonus points will be refunded
-If you are unable to hunt the tag for any other reason, only your bonus points will be refunded.
One might recommend that you find a non-terminal medical reason why you might elect to not hunt your tag such as recently learning that you are allergic to sage brush but it only affects you during the date range of that tag. Strange!
For further information, the agency that handles this stuff for NDOW can be reached at 1-800-576-1020
