Non-Res application question

As a non resident applying for the draw this year I have a question that I can’t find an answer for on the site.
I usually buy an over the counter tag every year for deer (D3-5) and a bear tag as well just to make sure I’m hunting in case I don’t draw in NV as a resident there.
My question is if I purchase the first deer tag for the draw application ( spendy to say the least ) and don’t get drawn for a premium zone would my fees still be good to hunt D3-5? Or would I have to buy another OTC tag just for D3-5?

Yes just put D3-5 as your second choice and they will send you that tag if you don’t draw your 1st choice premium tag…
