Late Rifle? Depending on where you plan to hunt is how long it would take to travel back and forth to the Ruby's and on which side of the mountain you would be hunting on. If snow, then the deer are down low, if none you'll be hiking in. Its a good hunt. If your hunting unit 101 then I would stay in Wells. There is places to camp on Blm. If your hunting the west side of the Ruby's then Elko would be fine. Good luck
