Unit 75 Late Bull Elk Rifle

Still picking up info for this area, looking for anyone that may have hunted it in the last few seasons, curious as what to expect not only size wise but encounters etc. I am currently deployed and will be back in time to gather the rest of the intel and head in! appreciate any intel fellas. My plan is either backpack camping or camping from the truck either way ill be in there till the job is done! Also this is my first bull tag so im a touch excited.

It can be a tough hunt with lots of private issues but its definitely doable. You might try contacting the winecup and ask about access...

So i have never hunted there before but i am hunting early rifle 72-74 and also drew late antlerless. My hunt ends the day before yours begins. I am hunting in Jarbidge on the south side. All the intel i can give you i will. If stuff gets pushed south ill let you know. I am planning on being in Jarbidge from Wildcat Lookout south. Also i will be paying attention on where the herds are so that it should make my cow hunt a little easier. I went in last week and scoped out a lot of ground and feel the south east side will be the easiest to access and get game out. All weather related could change my opinions. Any other intel i can find ill pass on.

I know the Winecup has a lot of ground east of that Jackpot road. Do they have ground on the west side too?

It's a tuff unit. Most of the elk have hightailed it for the Mary's River ranch by the time the hunt rolls around. You might catch a couple on Antelope or Loomis. It's not a unit I would apply for.
