If Money was no Object! (Throw me more Aluminum ww!:D)

Which Long Range Scope would you Choose?

And Why?

The Way Things are headed with the Mule Deer Herd I might need a Gun/Scope Combo that'll shoot in to next week!:D

Thinking something Simple such as a Quick Twist of a Turret rather than yardage Dots/Crosses!

What'Ya Think?

Then all u do is hold and squeeze, go home, get a good night's sleep. Come back in 24 hrs with just yer buddy, backpacks, knives and camera! No more havein to carry that bulky rifle out with that first load! Price tags a little steep, $49,999.99! But it's still cheaper than a new diesel pickup!

Just think, you'll b able to go out the day b4 season, pick ya a goodin, and get the drop on Doyle and the boys! I hear the deluxe models got a sammich mode!

Bess why don't you be truthful and admit you want a long range scope for your 50 cal. Barrett rifle so you can tune up ATVs from a mile away.

Get closer bess......

I like Nightforce . Get the model with a zero stop. I have a Leopold's as well good scope no zero stop. I guess if I could , I would put a Nightforce on every rifle I own. But I guess it does come down to price and I own a lot of rifles ;-)

Night Force! I have leupolds on all my rifles which IMO are good scopes with great warranty. I own one Night Force (ZeroStop) that I put on my last build, clarity, simplicity, quality, all in one package. Designed for Long Range, just a little on the pricey side. If wasnt for the price I would put a Night Force on all my rifles, regardless of what caliber.

Night Force and Huskemaw are both made by the same company in JAPAN.

What magnification does everyone feel like they need/want on the top end of a scope for one of these long range rigs?

Leupold does have a zero stop available with the CDS, although it's not as well designed as Nightforce.

Hey NVB!

Is Silver Optional for an additional 3.00?

I have heard that Swarovski is going to introduce the most advanced long range scope ever produced at the Shotshow this year. Its straight push button digital technology type stuff. Word is that when you get in position to shoot you push one button and it will range your target within half a meter. Then you push the second button and a text appears in your scope that says, "GET OFF YOUR BUTT LACE YOUR BOOTS AND SNEAK UP ON THE ANIMAL!" :D

Hey Tri!

I already have that Model!:D

Night force, Have Leo's and they are nice. But after shooting and looking thru my nephews scopes it hands down on nightforce.

Like others have said the Night Force scopes are awesome. The only downside I see to them is they weight a ton. If you're putting it on a heavy rig it might not matter, but if you're concerned with weight at all I'd look at some of the Leupold scopes. On average they weight quite a bit less that the NF.

Why not trade your gun in for a long range stick flipper? Hoyt is coming out with a stick flipper that dominates the rifle market. It has a 100 power scope that shoots virtual arrows. Everything is satellite guided. Once you draw back and release, with your virtual goggles on, you will be able to see the arrow hit the animal up to 2,000 yards away! In reality it is just a laser that smokes the animal. It gives the hunter the sense of accomplishment when they see their arrow hit its mark........

I was gonna wait for the 2016 version to come out, as this technology isn't good enough for me...........

There is only one......Nightforce.
Nuff said :)

Hey bessy make it about hunting and not killing try to get closer than 2000 yards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!

If you want to separate the men from the boys, you'll probably want a S&B PMll 3-27x56. Run you a cool $6500...

The SB Is Schmidt and Bender. I have a friend that has one . It's a very nice scope but not affordable for most.
The Huskemaw has brass gears and with use loose there zero.
1 Schmidt and Bender
2 Nightforce
3 Leupold
I don't believe Huskemaw or Vortex belong on this list.
Most of the big scopes only turn down to 6.5 or 5. So in thick timber when you get close to big game, They aren't very use full. But a big 20 power at 800 plus yards is where they shine. Generally the game doesn't even know you are around and are usually calm. Every thing has it place. It my young years we always carried a couple of rifles with us. When I would going into big timber in my younger years. To push the timber. I would take a 444 Marlin with iron sites. A great timber gun. But then again not a good long range rifle.

My uncle just bought a March. I had never heard of it before, but I am really impressed to say the least. It is incredibly clear and it does everything he needs it to. It's around $3500 though so it should do everything you need/want it to. Between his custom rifle and the scope he has around $10,000 into his setup. I'd be scared to hunt with it.

I love my night force with the MOAR reticle. Without a doubt it makes stretching your shooting distance a helluva lot easier. The only thing I do not like about it is this. I have butler creek lens covers on the scope, the push button flip open type ( ocular lens an objective lens). The entire eyepiece rotates as you adjust your power which rotates the lens cover. So depending on what power you increase too, it may rotate the cover down in a way where your bolt may hit it when open or opened in a odd position. I've played with it quite a bit an got it what's best For me, but your not going to put in on like your leupold an have it flip up outta the way straight up on the eyepiece end. I've already broke 1 or 2 an for the price of the cover I couldn't careless. The scope comes with a bikini.

Night Force hands down. AND Night Fore is not made in Japan. Night Force has some parts made in Japan as they have for many years. All Night Force scopes are assembled and tested to the highest of standards in north central Idaho NOT Japan.

I have four Nightforces and Lisa has a few Leupold Mark IVs on her longrangers. Both are top-notch for the price. Nightforce is a better scope but at a price. Lisa kicked azz with her Mark VI topped 6.5x284 at the shoots when we lived in Utah. I also have a S&B and it's quality is a bit better than the Nightforce but for the price, it's passed the point of diminishing returns. Nightforce, buy one.

For long distance dial 1-800-338-EDGE

I have nightforce, swarovski, vortex and leupold, I will for sure check out the new swaro, mainly because it is the best hunting glass you can buy! But from the bench my NF nxs is fantastic! And plenty of moa to shoot to a mile!!!!
