We just got back a few days ago from a great hunt. Our party of 5 got 4 bucks (2 3x3's and 2 4x4's) and 4 elk (1 5x5 and 3 cows). I don't have pictures of all the animals because as you can probably imagine we spent quite a bit of time packing animals out and I didn't get a chance take pics of them all

The first night we got there I shot a decent little 3x3 but don't quite have pics uploaded yet. The next day my uncle and dad got two bucks a nice 4x4 and decent 3x3.

The next day we spent packing the deer out. The following day was opening elk and had 4 elk down. Anyways here are some pictures.

Which unit is that?

Did you have to rent a refrigerated 40' trailer for all that? Nice!

Looks like cool country to hunt congratulations on your successful hunt. Those are some great pictures. This year was my first time to Idaho to hunt elk and I will say I was impressed. I shot a 320 type bull the first day. There were elk everywhere, I don't know how much I will be hunting my home state of oregon anymore. Idaho is a great place to hunt.

Isn't 48 a controlled area for elk? Did you all draw rifle tags for elk in 48? Pretty lucky. Great job on the hunt.

Yes 48 is controlled hunt.

My dad drew an out of state bull elk tag. A couple others drew out of state cow tags and a fried drew an in state cow tag. I tried for an in state bull tag but didn't get it.

Excelent photos there RJ.
Looks like some extremely vertical country.
Must have been a job getting them elk out.
Congrats on the sucsessful hunt.
