Fixed Blade & Mechanical terminal reports?

You just told us how old you are…. I’d take most of todays mechanicals over the old satellites with blades you could bend by hand.

Archery Antelope across the border in 015 Nevada

I think the guy ended up doing a full body mount. Nothing wrong with wanting to put something in the books. Good luck this hunting season.

Archery Antelope across the border in 015 Nevada

Perhaps it might. The guy that killed it never enters anything and he has a lot of critters that most would be the envy of hunters. It was 94 2/8” green if remember right. We knew it wasn’t a state record but still a damn nice antelope. Picture is still on here under a 015 thread. Not everyone...

Archery Antelope across the border in 015 Nevada

Picture is on here if you dig back far enough. By the way not everything gets entered in the books. Some don’t care. Myself being one of them. I did have my antelope from last year officially measured and would be in the top 45 in P&Y all time. Again don’t care.

Fixed Blade & Mechanical terminal reports?

Will mechanicals work on elk? Absolutely. However, never read of anyone that says “if I only had a mechanical I would of killed that bull instead of this fixed blade” … you do see mechanicals fail and they wish they had a solid fixed blade though. It all goes back to shot placement, make a...

Archery Antelope across the border in 015 Nevada

I’ll add also that if it rains at all. Sitting water will be as productive as sitting in camp. Another reason I love the spot and stalk. I just remembered that 7 or 8 years ago we killed a mid 90s antelope out of 015 (rifle) though.

Archery Antelope across the border in 015 Nevada

Spot and stalk… 1. Not boring like sitting in a blind all day sweating your butt off. 2. No conflict with “who’s” water hole 3. See a lot more antelope and country 4. A lot more rewarding

OH YA!!! TAKE THE MUZZ SCOPES!!!

Some of the replies here are downright comical. Deer and elk are hunted from August-January. Then you have shed hunters out and about. Then tag results come out and everyone starts scouting. Basically the animals never catch a break. Atv, utvs have come a long way and make it easy to just go...

    2022 quota recommendations

Oh I’m sure NDOW would love the opportunity to actually manage them. I know it’s over their head or they would be raking in cash selling tags for them. Maybe something good will come out of the states rights deal. Or perhaps wishful thinking .

    2022 quota recommendations

Largest problem faced by Nevada wildlife is wild horses and burros. They are completely unchecked population wise. Not only do they compete for feed, they destroy water developments and get territorial. Ndow should make any deer elk or antelope tag also good for a wild horse/burro or just open a...
