I would try blackhorn 209 powder, I had good accuracy with thor bullets and hornady fpb's out of my omega. if you use thor's order early though because he tends to run low on certain weights.

I spoke with many outfitters last year including steve chappell and a3. both great guys. I ended up going with greg Krogh and had an excellent hunt. The reason I chose him was because he knew from the first day I spoke with him, who would be my guide and let me speak with him directly.

He thinks he will probably sit it out this year and just get point's. thanks. I was looking at unit 53 for him. When looking at maps of the area, it looks like quite a bit of private in the lower country. would it be a hard unit for access during the third season?

My dad is considering burning 12 points on a third season tag. He is almost seventy years old. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the unit. Is it worth 12 points? Is the terrain suitable for a guy his age? If not, can you recommend another unit that might be better? Thanks.

I hunted there a few years back. northern part is public, southern checkerboarded with private, plenty of antelope on public. message me and I can give you more details.

be happy that Colorado allows you to retain your points. I made a mistake on my application in Arizona, it cost me 8pts, $650, and cost someone else a tag that they may have wanted. The $650 I can handle more than losing the points.

I had good luck with hornady fpb's last year. I shot good groups out to 200yds. I ended up shooting my muley at 186 yds. I used bh209 and a William's peep site. thor's also shot well, but you have to make sure you get plenty to start with because they were back ordered before season last year...

It was a mistake. A major mistake on my part. I entered the wrong hunt code and applied for an antlerless tag. I wondered how I could have drawn. Sucks, now im out 5 pts and will have a tag I dont want and cant return.
