If you are planning on applying using the Outfitter Pool and go the guided route, look at the Outfitters that will float your money and apply for you using their money. This way it doesn't cost you anything and you still get the benefit of applying in NM through the Outfitter Pool's draw odds...

Plus one here. This would be the quickest route from Carlsbad via Santa Fe to Pojoaque, then up to Los Alamos and around the checkpoints via the ice skating pond. Then it's a hop skip and a jump to the Caldera.

There's a lot of wolves around the Quemado Lake Area and they keep the elk moving around alot. If you find a nice bull get on him quick because he won't be around for long.

Finally ended the dry spell and drew elk 16d... Grandson drew the youth deer hunt in 2b.
