Oh that's right, so outfitters could do two 5 day hunts with one day in between.

Oh I just remembered, I think they reduced the non resident quota by 100 in deer region X.

They reduced doe mule deer tags in a couple areas.

But there would be no chance of drawing as a second choice.

It could also be that someone just wants to hunt that country. Maybe they don't care that much about how a buck will score. I know I don't. But I still would like to hunt that part of Wyoming someday.

They have lots of type 3 and type 8 whitetail tags in the Cody region.

That's really not what I was saying. I'm saying a resident has a lot more opportunities to hunt other areas of the state, in October and November. A non resident hunting G or H went there specifically for that one hunt. I'm not sure it has to do with taking a small deer. But more than likely...

Not just that, but the fact that many Wyoming residents might hunt region G or H areas for a couple days and not even try that hard to kill a deer because they've still got a couple months of deer hunting left in other areas where they can fill their general deer tag. A non resident in G or H...

I'm not sure how accurate those numbers really are though, since most deer killed probably aren't reported. Right?

I don't know if you guys have seen it, but the WGFD has a notice on the website that says "By March 20, updated proposals and video presentations on the proposed changes for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 hunting seasons will be posted."

I would say region G just because there's a chance you won't draw 141 with 14 points.

Antlers aren't worth anything to me. I'm paying for the experience, and the meat. This year I hope I'll be paying $692 for a cow elk. Just have to get lucky in the draw.
