    Royal Ivory CWMU - Elk

Thanks for the info! Just curious how you know so much about it since you haven't hunted it? No offense or disrespect. I know they give you three days to hunt. What's realistic or plan on full 3 days? Also what is the hunting conditions like? Drive around, hike to look for elk. Sit meadows? ect?

I'm looking at starting to load some 168 grain Etips for my 300 Rum. And then 30-06 with IMR4350 I know they say start at the low load data. Has anyone done so? With components hard to get I was thinking of doing 1 grain increments to check for pressure first before doing 3-5 round group test...

    Too much pressure? 300 RUM

So i did some backtracking and remeasured my C.O.A.L.... BIG mistake on my part, and it was around 3.600 with cheap digital calipers, with the 180 grain Accubond. I since have upgraded to the Lyman Dial stainless steel calipers and the Lyman measured 3.645 - 3.650. Which is .45-.50 thousands...

    Too much pressure? 300 RUM

Yeah it just the primer that bothers me so far, of the crater and very very slight flattening. I'm touching holes at 100 yards so my load is where I'm wanting to stay and not push max loads. Why dump the gun if not fixing the firing pin?
