I've learned to appreciate our whitetail on the plains here. Never hunted them until 7 years ago, but wow are they fun and the terrain much, much easier
People that live in States without Elk, Antelope and Mule Deer probably live in States with robust whitetail herds and don't need to worry about drawing a tag and get forced into short 7 day seasons. They probably have seasons that can last for months!

I saw an article showing census data and Colorado and California are similar with 60% of each states populations not being from California or Colorado.
Makes sense cause everyone I meet in Colorado nowadays seems to be from the northeast or upper mid-West

After landowners get 20% of the tag quota right off the top and sell primarily to Nonresidents, Residents only really get 52% of the tag quota for 65/35 GMU's and 64% in 80/20 GMU's.
I hunted in Wyoming last year and was treated like gold up there by the locals. You saying maybe I got a pass with my Disabled Veteran plates? :unsure:
