My partner is using a magnus this year for elk, not sure what model, but he's 72 and has scaled back his bow so I suggested he get a cut on contact for better penetration. Hopefully he gets a shot and I can report back on model and performance.
I shoot a rage on a FMJ with my vertical compound. Flys great and that FMJ is heavy and makes for a quiet shot and deadly penetraion. A little more drop than other setups, but the pass thru and quiet sound is worth it to me.
