I see there is no any weapon deer hunts for 033 this year. I know a person who had an outfitter tag there last year, and was told to cancel the tag. I didn't know it was that bad. I hope the antelope are doing OK.

Thanks for input, I have that on my list as things to consider. Too light with a magnum could be painful. Some models come with a raised check piece type stock, which may help some. But what goes to the shoulder is reality. I guess I want the cake and eat it too.

Maybe they weight them with the bolts removed, and the clips removed. And so on and so on.

I have heard a lot of positive things about the Tikka. How was the recoil ? I was thinking of maybe a Tikka in wood to add a few ounces. And a good recoil pad.

Yes, quite a few. Both dead and alive. Some days we would see more elk than deer. It looked to us that the elk hunters were doing OK.

Yes we did, not getting any younger you know. The point creep is moving faster than my bonus points are. We feel real good about this hunt, with all the help we got from the members here. I know we'll have fun. Good luck on your muzzy hunt.
