James' 'first hunt' was 2 1/2 (although he mostly helped me 'watch' his mom). He went on a true Idaho llama-packin trip when he was 3 1/2 and has been out every since. You're right......about hunting with your kids (Older sisters were also fun...but he is a bit more intense...just like dad :)...

The deer will 'move' a little more either just before or just after a storm. Unless they've been 'holed up' for several days (due to said storm), don't expect the difference to be dramatic. Deer are crepuscular, rather than nocturnal, which means their periods of peak activity are in low-light...

Hatfield Knives, made by our own RELH, are everything one would hope. Robert made one for my son, James, for Christmas last year. He was easy to work with and the knife LOOKED great. Yesterday, James got to 'use it for the first time' on a great buck he took. ...... The knife was strong, easy...
